Commercial Driver’s Licenses

Class A Truck Driver Training Program

DCTC Truck Driver Training programs far exceed federal recommendations of 160 hours of training to become a Class A Commercial Drivers’ Licensed (CDL) Truck Driver.

Classroom topics cover pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, the proper use of logbooks, and regulations that govern truck drivers and the trucking industry. Most of the program, however, is hands-on driving experience. Students progress from simple driving tasks with basic equipment to advanced driving with big rigs. Professional instructors emphasize safety and efficiency in maneuvering in a freight dock setting, on the open road, and in congested traffic situations.
